During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One ticket for Drive Imprudently which carries a fine of $203
  • Thirteen by-law tickets for Parking where Prohibited which carries a fine of $150

January 8th, 2024

While on general patrol, police observed a two-vehicle collision on 3rd and Thornhill Street. No injuries were reported.

January 9th, 2024

Police received a report of a mountain bike that was stolen from in front of the victim’s residence. Police are continuing their investigation.

Police received a warrant for 25-year-old Brandon ROSS for failing to attend court.

Police received a warrant for 23-year-old Alexander MANAIGRE for failing to attend court.

Police were dispatched to a local residence for a male who was agitated and causing a disturbance. Police arrived on scene to find an intoxicated male damaging a vehicle that did not belonging to him. The 29-year-old male was arrested for mischief and under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.

January 10th, 2024

At 12:00am, police received a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a local business. Police attended and arrested a 48-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and held him in custody until sober.

January 11th, 2024

Police have received multiple calls regarding an ongoing fraud. People are receiving calls stating that their son was in a car accident and needed money for the damages. No money was exchanged, and it was confirmed no car accidents took place involving the sons. Please be aware of this ongoing scam and contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

January 12th, 2024

Police were dispatched to a vehicle colliding with a local restaurant. Police arrived on scene along with EMS and Morden Fire and Rescue.

January 13th, 2024

At 1:53am, police were dispatched to a single car roll over. Police arrived along with EMS and Morden Fire and Rescue, and the driver was assisted out of the vehicle and transported to the local hospital for observation. The vehicle was towed, and police cleared.
