- One ticket for Drive without Holding Valid Drivers Licence which carries a fine of $298
- Five tickets for Fail to Stop at Railway Crossing with Stop Sign which carries a fine of $298
- One By-Law ticket for parking facing oncoming traffic which carries a fine of $150
July 15th, 2024
General Patrol members conducted a parole check on a local residence. During the checks members located 39-year-old Joseph Hildebrand at a local residence with a Canada-wide warrant of arrest. Hildebrand was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to Stoney Mountain Correctional Institution.
July 17th, 2024
Police received a report of stolen electronics from a business in another community. The victim believed the stolen items to be in Morden as a result of tracking data. Police investigated and the stolen items were recovered and returned to the owners. The business declined to press charges.
July 18th, 2024
At 10:45pm, police were dispatched to a local residence in regard to a male causing a disturbance. Police arrived and spoke to the homeowner who stated a 24-year-old male was asked to leave the residence multiple times and continued to return and cause damages. The male was arrested for causing a disturbance and released the following morning once sober without charges.
July 19th, 2024
Police were dispatched to a report of a vehicle collision near Mountain Street South and Alvey Street. Police arrived on scene and found a vehicle collided with a telephone pole and there was no one in the vehicle. Witnesess assisted police in locating the driver at a nearby residence. The 50-year-old driver was found to be impaired and was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, which resulted in a 3-month driving suspension along with a 60-day vehicle impoundment. He was released the following morning once sober on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in October.
July 20th, 2024
At 6:12am, police were dispatched to a residence for a report of a disturbance. Police arrived and found a 36-year-old female intoxicated and causing problems. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and was transported by EMS for assessment.
July 21st, 2024
Police were dispatched to Lake Minnewasta for a report of a boat capsizing. Police arrived on scene along with Morden Fire and Rescue and EMS, the male was rescued by the water rescue team and treated by EMS. Police cleared.
