During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Three tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
- One ticket for Disobey Traffic Contril Device namely Red Light which carries a fine of $203
- One ticket for speeding in school zone (46km/hr in a 30km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $259
- One ticket for speeding in school zone (47km/hr in a 30km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $272
- Seven tickets for Passing an Emergency Vehicle Engaged in Prescribed Activity While Using Emergency Equipment, Fail to Move into a Farther Lane which carries a fine of $298
- Four tickets for Invalid Driver’s License which carries a fine of $298
- Two tickets for unregistered vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for broken brake light which carries a fine of $174
- One ticket for speeding (83 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $482
- One ticket for speeding (82km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $469
- One ticket for speeding (78km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $416
- One ticket for speeding (64km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $233

While on general patrol police conducted a traffic stop and subsequent checks of the driver showed he was on conditions to not be in the driver seat of a motor vehicle. The 32-year-old Morden resident was arrested for Failing to Comly with his Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in December.
October 18th, 2022
At 9:30 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a male who was threatening to harm himself and had locked himself in his bedroom. Police attended and spoke to the male who was intoxicated. The male was subsequently transported to the Morden Police Station until he was sober and then to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
October 22nd, 2022
At 12:20 am, while on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a “warn” reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.
At 1:20am, while on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a local business. Police observed a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a “fail” reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.
October 23rd, 2022
Police were dispatched at 11pm to a fight happening at a local business. Police attended and located one of the males who was highly intoxicated. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. The male began yelling at police and spit in the officer’s face. He was arrested for assaulting a Peace Officer and released on an Undertaking to appear in Morden Provincial Court in January.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of 6th street for an Intoxicated person. When police arrived, the male was known to be on conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The male was arrested for Breach Conditions and released on an Appearance Notice.
