February 27th, 2024
Police received arrest warrants for a 43 year-old male and 39 year-old female from Darlingford for failing to attend Morden Provincial Court on February 27th, 2024. Both suspects were arrested the next day on the strength of the warrants and released on an Appearance Notices to attend Morden Provincial Court in May.
At 9:50 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female. Police attended the residence and observed an extremely intoxicated female who was incoherent and unable to care for herself. The female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act, lodged in cells until sober and released the next day without charges.
February 28th, 2024
Police received a complaint of an assault that occurred at the victim’s place of work the night previous. The victim provided a statement to police advising he had been assaulted by a coworker that resulted in him attending the hospital for treatment. A 61 year-old male from Morden was arrested for assault and released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in May.
At 7:25 pm, police located an intoxicated male stumbling down the street. The male was extremely intoxicated, not dressed for the weather and unable to care for himself. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act, lodged in cells until sober, and released the next day without charges.
February 29th, 2024
At 10:30 pm, police received a report of an assault. Police attended to the residence and spoke to the caller who was extremely intoxicated and nonsensical. Police determined no assault had taken place, and EMS arrived on scene and transported the male to a healthcare facility for an assessment. Once cleared by the hospital, the male was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act, lodged in cells until sober, and released the next day without charges.
March 1st, 2024
At 11:30 am, police received a call regarding a possible break and enter to a residence on Mountain Street. Police located the suspect, a 32-year-old from the RM of Stanley, who resisted arrest and uttered threats to harm police. The suspect was eventually taken into custody, and later released on an Undertaking to appear in Morden Provincial Court in May.
