- Two tickets for driving without a valid driver’s license which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for speeding (130 km/hr in a 100km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $442
January 16th, 2024
Police were dispatched to a local business for an active door. Police attended along with key holder and all doors were determined to be secured, police cleared.
January 15th, 2024
Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle parked on Wardrop Street in Morden. The driver parked her 2023 white Toyota Highlander and returned to find damage on the front bumper. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Morden Police Service at 822-4900
January 19th, 2024
Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred while parked on Stephen Street in Morden. The driver parked his 2017 red Mitsubishi Lancer and returned to find damage on the front bumper. January 23rd, 2024
Police received a call from a homeowner who stated his yard fence was hit by a vehicle. The vehicle did not remain on scene, police are continuing their investigation.
January 26th, 2024
At 9:30pm, police were dispatched to a local establishment for reports of an intoxicated male. Police arrived on scene and spoke with the suspect who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The 30-year-old male was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act, while being placed under arrest the male became aggressive and began fighting police. He was charged with Assault Police Officer and released in the morning when sober on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.
January 27th, 2024
Police were dispatched to Stephen Street for an aggressive intoxicated male. When police arrived on scene, they knew the male to be on conditions not to consume alcohol, he was arrested for Failing to Comply with an Undertaking condition and released on an Appearance Notice in the morning once sober.
January 28th, 2024
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.
At 6:30pm, police were dispatched to an intoxicated male who was talking of self-harm. He was arrested under the Mental Health Act and lodged in cells until sober and transported to local hospital for assessment.
