During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive While Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 and a 30-day vehicle impound
- Two tickets for Fail to Comply with Public Health Emergency Order, namely Mask in a Public Place which carries a fine of $298
January 31st, 2022
At 5:25 pm, police received a request to conduct a well being check on a male who was making suicidal comments. Police located the male and EMS subsequently transported the male to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
February 1st, 2022
At 11:45 am, police were dispatched to a business regarding a theft. Police attended and spoke to the manager who reports that on January 21st the suspects entered the business, took merchandise, and left without paying. Police are continuing their investigation.
February 2nd, 2022
Police received a call regarding a break and enter to a local church. Police attended and observed damage to several rooms in the church and items missing from inside the building. Police are continuing their investigation.

At 7:00 am, police received a call regarding a vehicle being gone through while parked in the 300 block of Gilmour Street. The caller advised that sometime last night someone entered his vehicle and rummaged through his glove box. Nothing was missing or damaged.
At 1:30 pm, police were dispatched to a residence for a male who was suicidal. Police and EMS arrived on scene and the individual was transported to a medical healthcare facility for treatment.
At 4:15 pm, police received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that was parked in the 400 block of 8th Street. The caller advised that sometime overnight his vehicle was gone through, and a sum of money was taken. Police are continuing their investigation.
February 3rd, 2022
At 4:00 pm, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Thornhill Street and 3rd Street. A grey Ford Expedition was making a left hand turn from Thornhill Street onto 3rd Street when it was hit by a grey Ford Escape travelling westbound on Thornhill Street. No one was injured in the accident and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
At 8:00 pm, police received a request to conduct a well being check on a male who was threatening to harm himself. Police attended and spoke to the male who was with his family and was feeling fine.
February 4th, 2022
At 12:50 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding a male who was angry and causing a disturbance. Police spoke to the male and had him leave the business as he would not calm. No charges were laid as a result of this incident.
February 5th, 2022
At 1:05 am, police were dispatched to a residence for a possible overdose. Police and EMS arrived on scene and the individual was subsequently transported to a medical healthcare facility for treatment.
At 1:25 am, police received a complaint regarding a hit and run in a parking lot. Police attended and observed damage to the rear bumper of the caller’s black Chevrolet Camaro. Through subsequent investigation the suspect vehicle was located, and the driver was issued a ticket for As a Driver of a Vehicle Involved in an Accident, Fail to give Required Information to a Person whose Property is Damaged as a result of the Accident which carries a fine of $203.
At 7:25 am, police received a report of a break, enter and theft to a storage unit on Rampton Street. The caller advised that a bike and toolbox were stolen from his storage unit.
February 6th, 2022
At 9:40 am, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Mountain Street. The driver of a black Pontiac Torrent was travelling northbound on Mountain Street and collided with a front end loader that backed onto the street in front of it. The driver of the Pontiac Torrent was sustained minor injuries and was cleared by EMS on scene.
At 10:15 pm, police received a report of a suicidal male who had left the callers residence. The male was located by police and subsequently transported to a medical healthcare facility for treatment.
