At 12:05 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a male who was assaulting a youth. Police attended and spoke to the youth’s mother who also reported she had been assaulted by this male. The 31-year-old Morden resident was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault. He was released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in August.
Police received a report of a theft from a business on Stephen Street. The business owner reports their large black planter was stolen from the front of their business sometime between Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning.
At 3:00 pm, police received a report of Identity Fraud. The caller advised that he called the Canada Revenue Agency to check on the status of his Income Tax return. He was told that they were conducting an audit as someone had opened up an account using his personal information.
At 5:45 pm, police received a call requesting a well-being check be conducted on a male who had been sending concerning information to the caller. Police attended and spoke to the male who was fine and had no intention of harming himself.
At 9:10 pm, police received a call from a female advising that she had been contacted by a male who was on conditions to have no contact with her. Police located and arrested the male who was charged with one count of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking. The 31-year-old Winkler resident was released on an Appearance Notice to appear in Morden Provincial Court in August.
