Morden Police Service received a report of theft from a business. Police were able to identify the suspect, return the stolen items, and served a banning notice at the business’s request.
At 8:54 pm, police received a report of a possible impaired driving heading west into Morden on Thornhill Street. Police located the vehicle and spoke with the driver who was not impaired and delivering pizzas for a local restaurant. The driver was issued a verbal warning about his driving.
At 8:56 pm, police were dispatched to a hotel on Thornhill Street in regards to an intoxicated female. When police arrived on the scene, they learned that the female was on conditions not to consume alcohol. A 35-year-old female from Winnipeg was arrested for Breaching her Undertaking. She was released on an Appearance Notice and will be appearing at Morden Provincial Court in July.
Police were dispatched to a residence on 12th Street in regards to the homeowner having a fire. Police attended and informed the homeowner that there was currently a fire ban in place. The homeowner agreed to put out the fire.
