At 6:25 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding an intoxicated male. The caller advised the male had approached him asking if he wanted to purchase cocaine. Police attended and spoke to the 31-year-old male who was quite intoxicated. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. The male was also found to be in possession of open liquor. He was charged with Consume Liquor in a Public Place which carries a fine of $672.
Police received a complaint from a business regarding a female shoplifter. Police are continuing their investigation.
At 10:35 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a possible overdose. Police and paramedics attended and spoke to the victim who was conscious and coherent. The victim was transported to the Boundary Trails Health Centre for an assessment.
